Do you remember Roger?
It’s because of our amazing followers, and fellow cat lovers that we were able to give this guy a second chance at life! Roger was found in Saskbeach, eating at a feed station. The man who was feeding him alerted us that he didn’t look so well. So, we set out to trap him, and it didn’t take long with wet food and here is why…
Roger was starving to death. His teeth were all loose, and he had such horrible inflammation in his mouth. He was whisked to Earl Grey vet where he was testing for FIV, we were all thinking the worst. Negative test- thank goodness! After examinations and X-rays, it was determined that Roger has stomatitis, which is an auto immune condition that affects the teeth and gums. Roger was referred to Victoria Vet Clinic where he was examined and put on antibiotics to clear his infection. Once that was healed, Roger required a full mouth extraction! That’s right- this special guy has no teeth! His amazing foster mom put in the time, tamed Roger and helped him heal. He is now ready to find his forever home! Roger does not require any special medications or follow up as his teeth extraction fixed him right up! What is required is a special raw diet. It took a whole year for this guy to heal and trust people.
Roger is a polydactyl, He has huge mittens!
If you think Roger will be the right fit for you, please reach out! He is good with other cats and enjoys a quiet laidback lifestyle. Who can resist that grin!
Roger's adoption is sponsored.
Introducing Junebug!
It must be a coincidence that we have not one, but two cats in care who have no tail!
Having no tail does not slow Junebug down any! She is described by her foster mom, and savior as extremely affectionate, calm and loving. She enjoys time up on your shoulder, loves to be carried around and best of all she chatters at you when you’re coming up to her. Junebug is approximately 6-8 months old, don’t let the photos fool you, she’s just itty bitty. When visited by another foster, Junebug is described as “the cutest little cat I’ve ever seen” Junebug is approximately 6-8 months old.
Junebug was found in High Country Estates, but sadly never claimed by her owner. To be this affectionate and loving we thought someone for sure must be missing her!
Junebug is vaccinated, dewormed and spayed is ready to meet her fur-ever family.
Junebug’s adoption is just $65, this includes her first vaccines, deworming, microchip, and spay. We also include an awesome starter tote full of toys and goodies for your new family member to enjoy!

Sully is a rare orange female. Only 1 in 5 orange cats are female!
Don’t let the attitude fool you; she is a wonderful companion. She loves to help make beds and fold laundry. She likes to lay on her human’s legs in the evenings. Sully is lovely but is not for every family. She doesn’t like to be picked up or held. She only likes to be touched on her terms. Having said that she is affectionate and funny and just great company. She is always close by and wants to be near her people.
She is very nervous around new people and as a result meet and greets don’t go well. However, she is great with other cats (would do well in a multi-cat family) and once she warms up, she is incredibly loyal to her humans.
She is clean and uses scratch pads and posts. She really is a great cat, dirty looks and all. If you respect her boundaries the result is a wonder purring companion.

Handsome’s name is very fitting - inside and out.
He has recently been through a lot with the passing of his owner. His owner entrusted KVKR to take good care of Handsome and that’s exactly what we plan to do.
Handsome has adjusted VERY well to a new home with his foster. He is wonderful with other cats, dogs, humans - big or small. He is a 4-year-old male cat, with gorgeous green eyes and a heart of gold.
In memory of his late owner Handsome has been sponsored, so his adoption is free!
This sweet angel came to KVK in such rough shape. Bob was found in Valley Ridge Acres begging for help. Luckily a couple took him in and contacted KVK right away as they knew he needed medical attention. It was apparent that Bob had suffered trauma, likely hitching a ride under the hood of a car. KVK whisked him to 24 HR Animal Care Centre for immediate treatment. That very day our little Bob, became a new man and started his journey to recovery. He had his tail amputated, he was neutered, and his wounds cleaned up. It is estimated that he was outside suffering with his injuries upwards of 3 weeks on his own! He was sent home to recover with his foster family. Bob has recovered so well, scars are fading and the pain is nothing but a memory! He is now a typical kitten (8-9 months old), extremely playful, curious, gets along well with other cats, and even dogs small and large! His tail amputation has not slowed him down in anyway, it may look a little silly right now with no hair but his hair is already starting to come back! Bob likes to coo and chat with his foster family, he plays hard but snuggles harder. Although Bob isn’t medically cleared to go home with his new family quite yet, we are confident he will be after his next check up in 2 weeks! In the meantime, we are on the hunt for family for Bob to call his own. If you would like to meet Bob, please reach out or fill out an application and give Bob a chance at a new life.
Bob's adoption includes 1st vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, and a starter pack!
Bob has been sponsored so his adoption is free!
